Carlsbad Caverns
Located in the Guadalupe Mountains in New Mexico, these caverns are some of the oldest and most famous in the world! They include several formations and various forms of wildlife.
Petrified Forest
The petrified forest in Arizona consists of trees so old they have turned to stone. Even though no trees are still standing, the petrified trees are beautiful and come in surprising colors!
Big Bend National Park
This remote national park is roughly an hour from El Paso, Texas. The main feature of this park is the Rio Grande. It also includes several canyons and the Chihuahuan Desert. There are several beautiful landforms, plants, and animals to see!
River Walk
This is a popular attraction in San Antonio, Texas. The River Walk is a kind of boardwalk along the San Antonio River. Several restaurants and stores line the banks. People can walk along the paths or take boat rides down the river!
Tribal museums
There are about 75 museums for various Native American tribes in Oklahoma. The state was once specifically made to be the home to Native Americans who had been removed from other parts of the country. Each museum is full of history and art!
